Actress and singer, Hilary Duff, visits Naperville just west of Chicago, on her book tour promoting her first novel (Simon & Schuster) title "Elixir." Arriving about 30 minutes late from her scheduled appearance at 6 p.m., but it did not turn fans away. However you could hear from some of which were mostly parents, "can't these #%@* celebrities arrive on time." They were there with their teenagers waiting in line on a beautiful Saturday evening. Finally arriving about 6:25, Hilary Duff was out signing as quickly as possible. Anderson's Bookshop had the store filled from isle to isle as well as outside. The lucky few hundred has bracelets for the signing. Hilary Duff was very gracious and full of smiles as all came buy to get an autograph or a photo.

In March 2010, it was announced that Duff had signed a deal with Simon & Schuster Books to write a series of young adult books. The first novel, to be called Elixir, was published in hardcover on October 12, 2010. (Source: Wikipedia)
