Chicago's Michigan Avenue Magazine celebrated its 2nd Anniversary Bash Featuring the September cover Jennifer Hudson.
The event took place on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 at the House of Blues in Chicago. Niche Media CEO, Jason Binn with Editor-in-Chief, Susanna Negovan, and Midwest President and Publisher, Dan Uslan, hosted the party. The red carpet arrivals brought local Chicago celebrities, Kenny Williams (Chicago White Sox Manager), Ed Swiderski (The Bachelorette Season 5), Nick Boynton (Chicago Balckhawks), who was accompanied by Jen Patterson, WGN Morning News Anchor Valerie Warner and Dina Bair, Gary Maddox (former Major League Baseball player), and Academy Award Winner/Grammy Award Winner hostess of the night Jennifer Hudson.
Upon entering the upstairs venue of the House of Blues, party goers and many Chicago elite, waited for Jennifer Hudson to hit the stage. Jennifer Hudson came out full smiles and looking like never before. In the past year, Jennifer Hudson lost quite a bit of weight and is now the spokeswomen for the Weight Watchers system. Hudson looked great, and the fans let her know. As one fan kept screaming, "I love you Jennifer!" In which Hudson reached out to her fan up in front. Jennifer performed a few hits, including from her movie role in Dreamgirls, "And I Am Telling You, and "I Will Always Love You." You can figure out that cover song. Let's go back a few years....
Upon completion of song, Hudson again thanked the Michigan Avenue and their invited guests. CEO, Binn thanked Hudson with his cast at the magazine, and a huge cake was brought out for Hudson, who was given the honors of cutting the first piece. Binn announced that the cake will be available for everyone to try. As Jennifer Hudson left the stage the night closed. Of course many stayed but just as many were exiting for a great early night with a great Chicago A List celebrity hostess, Jennifer Hudson.
