Kim Kardashian in Chicago to show off some new bling.
Kim Kardashian was in Chicago October 19, 2010 to help promote a contest being held by renowned jeweler Michael Hill.
Kardashian, wearing a serious (borrowed) rock, was promoting the "The Ultimate Engagement Ring Search" contest being held by Michael Hill jeweler.
The winner of the competition will receive an extremely rare sparkling 22.25 carat diamond ring, which features the 22-carat stone surrounded by 0.60 carats of accent diamonds set in platinum. The ring will be presented to the winners at an exclusive ceremony on Dec. 16 in Chicago at Water Tower Place.
Launched in 1979, Michael Hill has more than 250 stores in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. Michael Hill entered the U.S. market in 2008 when it acquired 17 stores from bankrupt Whitehall Jewelers. "The contest is open for couples whether engaged, married or even just romantically inclined to enter," Hill told NBC Chicago.
The contest is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Since the contest is a search for the world's "best couple," those entering can be engaged, just dating or already married. Contestants may enter through social networking sites or online at My22ct.com.
According to the release, couples who enter will take part in a series of online challenges. Six couples will advance to the next round of the competition, in which a panel of judges will pick one winner. The victorious couple then will fly to Chicago and be presented with the 22-carat rock.---Read more at UnRatedMagazine.com
