Spike Lee was at Barbara's Bookstore

Spike Lee at the Barbara's Bookstore near UIC, located at 1218 South Halsted, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on December 24th.  Mr. Lee celebrated the publication of his new book Spike Lee: Do the Right Thing, an inside look at the making of the classic film on its 20th anniversary..

The room was filled with onlookers.  Which many had come to hear Mr. Lee speak on his movies and career.  But once he came to the front of the room,  they found out that he was only in town to have Christmas with family members.  And he was very disappointed that he was going to miss the New York Kick xmas game.  But he did sayed he would be there to watch the New York Jets beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Mr. Lee was a very friendly person and basically a very nice person.  It seems to me that stardom has not chanced him over the years.  So much so,  he took time during this signing to sign anything anyone give him including DVDs, cd, books, photos, shirts etc.   Photo and story by Dan Locke--- Read more at UnRatedMagazine.com
