Harry Potter star, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) at the Hollywood Blvd Cinema

Tom Felton
Hollywood Blvd Cinema welcomes the young British actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series. Tom Felton is in Chicago this weekend to greet fans and sign autographs promoting the last installment of the film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Thank you to the folks at Hollywood Blvd for bringing Draco Malfoy to Chicago. The line of fans stretched around the building, some waiting in this Chicago heat wave, for hours. The screams of fans were heard from young frenzied fans (and some older ones), just to get a glimpse of Felton.  Those who attended the event brought their complete collection of Harry Potter memorabilia including many were seen carrying the whole series of books for signing.

The Harry Potter films (and books) have engaged fans for over a decade as the most successful movie series in the 21st Century grossing record sales in box office returns last weekend. Tom Felton played Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter’s nemesis from the beginning.  I am sure Harry Potter fans will continue to pack the theaters for weeks and hold Harry Potter nights and marathons for years to come.  In the end Draco turned out to be a good guy who helped save The Boy That Lived.

I want to encourage all of Chicago land to visit and catch a film at the Hollywood Blvd or Hollywood Palms (Naperville); it’s a great experience for the whole family. Visiting the theater is a real treat; showcasing the wonder of Hollywood with the greatest actors on screen.  The price is affordable and most will be surprised compared to your general big box theaters, plus you’ll get the friendliest staff around. The theaters are all themed on the classics of Hollywood with non-traditional seating, where you can get a table or a bench; enjoy a movie, a pizza, chicken fingers, with a great staff to cater to you through the whole movie experience.
