Celebrity Watching in Chicago During a Early Morning Run



 
Chicago is known for a lot of things. But one thing Chicago doesn’t have, is many celebrity walking around. In places like New York, Miami and Los Angles you would be able to find stars everywhere you go. But not in Chicago. Except for this weekend. Where in Chicago was held the annual Xsport Fitness Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon held in Grant Park, to benefit the american Cancer Society.

This race is the oldest annual race held in Chicago. Which beats the Chicago Marathon by one year.

This year the race had over 21,000 runners and a few celebrity runners. Like Al Roker from NBC The Today Show, Stephanie Abrams from The Weather Channel, Joyn Ondrasik from the band Five for Fighting, NFL Champion Roger Craig, and Jayde Donavan from Access Hollywood. Javde decide to run the race the nite before and she did finish with 2:55:48.

Dan Evans from The Biggest Loser performed with his band. And the rocker Bret Michaels was going to perform but he cancel last minute.



During the race the participants are supporting along the way by cheering fans and live bands performing at each mile along the route. The course covers 13.1 miles thought out some of Chicago’s most famous streets. And at the finish line they were entertain by Fox’s Weather lady Amy Freeze dancing with the runners as they headed over the finish line.
