GEORGE TILLMAN, JR. HONORED WITH THE CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL’S BLACK PERSPECTIVES AWARD

Special Screening of Tillman’s The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete Follows Presentation at AMC River East 21, Friday, October 11


Recognized for his extensive body of work in the film industry through writing, directing and producing, George Tillman, Jr. (Soul Food, Men of Honor, Barbershop)  will accept an award from the Chicago International Film Festival during the Black Perspectives program October 11 at the AMC River East 21 Theater.  Fox TV’s Robin Robinson and Black Perspectives Committee Member Regina Taylor will join in the conversation and festivities.  Immediately following the presentation will be a screening of the director’s latest film, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete starring Hudson followed by a post-screening discussion.
