Fleetwood Mac Comes to Chicago United Center on October 3, 2014
Story and photos by Dan Locke
I wouldn't never believed, that I would see the 5 core members of Fleetwood Mac back again. To have Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks back together again. It is what dreams are make of. They have not been together since 1998. And at that time it was for a short period of time.
Fleetwood Mac has been around since the 60's. with Mick Fleetwood and John McVie who has been with the band since beginning. Never to leave the band for a long term for other projects, Just always be with the band. They had a few hits back in the 60's, but the hit making did not really start until Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks joined the band.
I remember seeing Fleetwood Mac back in the late 70's in Buffalo NY. As I closed my eyes to listen to them on October 3, 2014 at the United Center, it was like being back in high school listening to Rumours (their first number one album) The tour was the Rumours tour I saw back in 1977–78. It was like sitting in my mom and dads house listening to my stereo with the large speakers blasting "Go Your Own Way". And after listening to that first half of the open song. I could see that the stage was sent up, to give them a feeling like they were playing in your living room. Because with every song they played, they would give background information . Almost like VH-1 storytellers.
