An New Type of Rock Band Plays the House of Blues

An New Type of Rock Band Plays the House of Blues

photos and story by Dan Locke

On October 24, 2014  I saw a little known band called Crash Midnight, who opened up for The Pretty Reckless at the House of Blues. The band has the following players; Shaun Soho (lead vocals), Bo (bass guitar), Alex Donaldson (lead guitar), Tony Pizzo (lead/rhythm guitars) and Andrew Merkle (drums).
Crash Midnight sound they had learned how to rock and roll from the best.  They performance seems like a lot of the Led Zeppelin feel, but their music has the sound of Guns n Roses with REO Speedwagon on top.
Their guitar riffs, pounding drums, and searing vocal showed the crowd that they had the classic 70′ trademark sound with will turn heads and have people saying Heavy Music stills lives.  It should be noted there are no
Rock radio stations in Chicago. So the only way people are going to hear them is the web.  So Google them and watch their videos.  And you will see all new rock band.
