Boston folk-punk band Drunken Logic playing Uncommon Ground on 5/22

The seed for Drunken Logic first took root when frontman Jake Cassman walked away from an Ivy League education, in order to forge a brand of music that blends a myriad of influences with potent, topical lyrics. The first incarnation of the band formed at Berklee College of Music in 2012 — and ever since, Drunken Logic has been brewing an eclectic powder keg of alternative rock and indie folk in their shoddy Boston apartments. Since the 2013 release of their debut album, Something New to Burn, this quintet has rocked AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants) and have been regularly featured performers at Faneuil Hall, which hosts 18 million visitors annually. RAW:Boston named Drunken Logic their 2013 Musicians of the Year, and 2014 saw them tour the Northeast and showcase at CMJ Music Marathon. The band has compiled 11 diverse and incendiary new songs for their upcoming sophomore effort, titled Long Day’s Journey to the Middle. Drunken Logic are constantly reinventing their brand of art while battling the elements of contemporary America — and having far too much fun while doing it
