One of the most buzzed about films opening this summer, Epic's "Turbo Kid," starring Munro Chambers (Degrassi: The Next Generation), sci-fi icon Michael Ironside

and directed and written by Canadian born directing trio Anouk Whissell, François Simard and Yoann-Karl Whissell, will screen exclusively at Muvico is Sunday, Aug 23rd at 3PM.. The nostalgic tribute to 80’s action-adventure film follows an orphaned teenager (Chambers) as he embarks on an adventure to save his female companion from the hands of the evil warlord Zeus (Ironside) who controls the only water supply. Film festival favorite "JeruZalem" directed by Doron and Yoav Paz (TIFF and Berlinale’s Phobidilia), stars hot breakout actress Yael Grobglas (Jane the Virgin) and follows two American girls on vacation who join a mysterious and handsome anthropology student on a trip to Jerusalem. The adventure is cut short when the trio are caught in the middle of a biblical apocalypse. Trapped between the ancient walls of the holy city, the three travelers must survive long enough to find a way out as the fury of hell is unleashed upon them.
