City of the Weak Play "The Blame Game" in New Music Video

(September 1, 2015 - Minneapolis, MN) - Rock quintet City of the Weak has premiered a new music video for "The Blame Game" on AbslolutePunk.net. The track is the second single from their latest album Disclosure and comes after a year and a half of non-stop touring in support of the album. After appearing on Vans Warped Tour, The All Stars Tour, South By So What!?, and Rockfest the band took some time off from the road to return home and film their most ambitious video yet. Only this time, they decided to get behind the camera and direct the video on their own.

"We first started developing the concept for 'The Blame Game' well before we even filmed the video for 'Just Another Eulogy'," says director Cody Hoffman, also known as the bassist for City of the Weak. "After we came home from the HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT TOUR presented by Coldcock Whiskey, we started talking about who we wanted to to direct the video and how exactly we were going to pull this thing off. Eventually It boiled down to that we were going to have to do a watered down version of what we envisioned. Stef brought up the idea that we put all of our budget into location and equipment and do it ourselves. So I came up with a plan and called up my friend Dan Garland (New Medicine) to look it over. Before I knew it, we were at the very top of the historic Foshay Tower, shooting a music video until dawn in one of their most luxurious suites."

The group will continue touring this fall in support of Disclosure which is available on iTunes.

These young, energetic, Minneapolis-based rockers haven't slowed down since the release of their sophomore EP Disclosure in April 2014. Produced by Eric Labrosse of Cherry Pit Studios, Disclosure features five compelling, well-written songs that are not only radio-ready, but showcase all of their talents to the highest degree. City of the Weak spent the majority of 2014 on the road in support of Disclosure, playing over 110 shows for the year and snagging six sponsorship deals. While touring across the continental U.S. the band has hit major markets from New York to Los Angeles, including special guest performances on Vans Warped Tour and The All-Stars Tour.

Now 2015, City of the Weak has kicked off the year by playing major festivals around the U.S. including South By So What?!, Rock Fest (Cadott, WI), Heart of Texas Rockfest, SXSW, Red Gorilla Music Festival, Spring Break ATX, and their headlining "Make It or Break It" tour also featuring Young Medicine. In June they returned home from their "Hit Me With Your Best Shot!" Tour, showcasing their drink of choice, Coldcock Whiskey. They recently recorded a live performance at EMG studios that is set to release later this summer. City of the Weak captures a modern rock 'n roll sound that is so perfectly defined, combining catchy pop melodies with rhythmic riffs and moving bass lines to create a genre of their own. They are best known for their intensity on stage, as well as their big personalities off the stage. After receiving over 300,000 views from their first three music videos, City of the Weak will premiere The Blame Game August 2015 on VEVO.
