Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to go to C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo). In case you don’t know what C2E2 is, it is a comic book and pop culture convention covering comic books, movies, television shows, toys, amine, manga, and video games. C2E2 gives fans the chance to interact and connect with their favorite creators and celebrities and people who enjoy the same things as them. The first thing you enter is the show floor which is packed with so many exhibitors and a variety of artists at the artist alley, to panels, autograph sessions, and screening rooms with sneak peaks of the latest movies and television shows.

The C2E2 convention was packed full of things to do and filled with celebrities for the many fans who attended. You could love comic books, movies, television shows, toys, amine, manga, and video games all together or just one or the other. I personally am a huge fan of the movie and television section of these conventions and originally only went to my first one of these because my favorite actors were there but it is so neat to see the comic book artists and the stories they have to tell with their comics along with the panels.

I looked at the list of panels that were available and I chose the ones that sounded most interesting. Because there were so many panel options, I was not able to attend all of the ones I wanted too but I did attend a wide variety of panels. It was very easy to navigate around to the panels, artist alley, and autographs and photo ops. There were huge signs dangling from the ceiling and as soon as you walk in there were booklets with a map of the center, when and where the panels were, and which creators and celebrities were there at which days, times, and places.

These conventions are the best places not only because you get to interact with your favorite creators and celebrities but also because you really get to be yourself. Plus, everyone is so nice and friendly, including the people working the convention were very helpful. Everyone loved to discuss and compare his or her favorite stuff in comparison with yours. It may be overwhelming at first, especially when the first thing I saw when I parked in the parking garage was a guy dressed in a full out Pokémon costume but, if you are interested in any one thing I mentioned above, there is surely a place for you at C2E2 and I know you will love it! The crowd was also really into it because there were many who dressed up as their favorite characters at the convention.
