Tom Petty on Monday morning October 2, 2017 went into cardiac arrest and suffered a heart attack. He died in Santa Monica, CA. Tom Petty was the lead vocalist of his band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been making music for over 40 years. The sound is good rock and roll. In 2017, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been selling out to record crowds in stadiums.
