CHVRCHES Announce Spring Us Tour Including Aragon Ballroom Concert On May 2

Tickets On Sale Friday, February 1

CHVRCHES announce new US headline tour kicking off with their return to the Coachella stage on April 14 followed by a May 2 concert in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom. Show time is 7:30pm and doors open at 6:30pm. Special Guests will be Cherry Glazerr. General admission tickets are $38.50 and become available Friday, February 1 at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.com.

CHVRCHES are Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. Their acclaimed third album Love Is Dead entered the Billboard Top Rock and Alternative charts at #1, and #11 overall. The album followed their 2013 debut The Bones of What You Believe and the 2015 follow up Every Open Eye. With the soaring success of their first two albums propelling CHVRCHES into new worlds, Love Is Dead is at times euphoric and others bittersweet. Featuring the singles “Miracle” and “Get Out,” as well as the previously released “My Enemy” (feat. The National’s Matt Berninger) and “Never Say Die”, Love Is Dead is an album about growing up and “coming to terms with the fact that there are great things in the world and there are awful things in the world and that you can’t get one without the other,” says Mayberry.

For the first time in their career, Love Is Dead sees CHVRCHES welcome outside influences, with 2017 and 2018 GRAMMY Producer of the Year Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia) co-producing nine tracks, whilst BRIT Award Producer of the Year 2018 Steve Mac also produces a song.

Over the course of their career, CHVRCHES have played countless shows worldwide, with each tour’s production reaching new heights and leaping towards the top of festival bills. The Love Is Dead tour alone will see the band headline such prestigious venues as LA’s Greek Theatre, the Sydney Opera House, London’s Alexandra Palace and a huge hometown show in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro. This new run of US dates are the next chapter in this phenomenal live success story.

CHVRCHES have partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket will go to support Girls Rock Camps and their work empowering girls, trans and gender-diverse young people through music education and mentorship. www.plus1.org
