ON TOUR NOW WITH BLEACHERS
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW? DUE APRIL 21
2015 has been a whirlwind for Joywave. The first quarter of this year has seen the band share the Keith Schofield-directed, Tony Hawk-approved video for single "Somebody New," perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live as well as VH1's Big Morning Buzz, release the genre-bending track "Bad Dreams" which brought together upcoming rappers Little Simz and Mick Jenkins from London and Chicago, respectively. Despite all of that, they still have a lot more ahead of them. In advance of the April 21st release of their debut album How Do You Feel Now? the band is sharing new track "Destruction" today.
"Destruction" is the type of song that practically serves as a mission statement for a band -- encapsulating all of the disparate influences that they possess and synthesizing them into a fully formed musical idea. The song's introduction also features a Disney Animation Studios audio sample from the original film, Fantasia, which further cements the band's commitment to utilizing an innovative approach to making music that still feels urgent. Its release comes as the band continues their national tour with Bleachers and demonstrates why the next few months will see them continue to tour with the likes of Cage The Elephant and The Kooks as well as perform at this year's X Games in June.
Check out "Destruction" alongside all of the bands upcoming tour dates and How Do You Feel Now? details below.
