Edison Park Announces New Musical Event May 1-3
North by Northwest Highway Music Fest Features 45 bands for $25.00
CHICAGO
(March 31, 2015) – This spring, Edison Park unveils a new, three-day musical event called,
North by Northwest Highway Music Fest. Taking place May 1-3,
2015, the indoor weekend concert series features more than 45 amazing
bands at four of Edison Park’s most recognizable venues.
Edison
Park Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Melissa McIntyre says the
inaugural event is being brought to the area in an effort to attract
more cultural and musical
awareness to the community.
“This
new fest is designed to bring more fun and entertainment to our
neighborhood,” McIntyre says.
“It’s all about the music—and what you can hear and see. We want guests
of Edison Park to recognize that there is more to our area than
drinking and partying. There is also great music, delicious food and
great events that bring us together as a community.”
The
North by Northwest Edison Park Music Fest promises to offer a taste of
something for everyone. Sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Company, the
festival will take place
across the neighborhood’s most well-known venues, including Emerald
Isle, Firewater Saloon, Edison Park Inn and Moretti’s Edison Park. The
bands kick off on Friday, May 1 at 6pm and will continue through
Saturday the 2nd and into Sunday, May 3 until
11pm.
Musical Line-Up
Throughout
the weekend, music fans have the opportunity to see more than 45 local
and regional bands. Thanks to the close proximity of the venues, guests
can easily walk
between shows depending on what they want to see. Entry in to each show
is a $3 cover fee. Guests also have the option of purchasing a $10
all-day pass for both Saturday and Sunday or a $25 all-inclusive pass
