An Evening to Conquer Cancer

Celebrating the Launch of The Campaign to Conquer Cancer

WHAT: Several prominent Chicagoans, including Desirée Rogers, cancer survivor and Chair of Choose Chicago Board of Directors, will gather at a special gala dinner to celebrate the launch of the Conquer Cancer Foundation’s (CCF) Campaign to Conquer Cancer. Her participation as campaign honorary co-chair reinforces the importance of the foundation’s work to create a world free from the fear of cancer by funding breakthrough research, connecting physicians and patients to the latest information, and developing programs to improve the quality of and access to cancer care for patients in Chicago and around the world.

A host of Chicago community and business leaders, including the Chicago Cubs, have teamed up with the foundation to raise funds and help conquer cancer. The Campaign to Conquer Cancer aims to raise $150 million by June 2017 through a multi-media campaign with advertising, social media, and community events being launched in Chicago as an estimated 35,000 oncology professionals gather at the world’s largest cancer meeting, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 51^st Annual Meeting. The campaign has one single message – Together, we’re taking down cancer.
