So You Think You Can Dance Season 12 Tour in Chicago Friday, November 27th‏

 If you like "Dancing with the Stars".  You will love "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox.  Which like the ABC show, it is an American dance competition show.  For those who have not seen it, it is a series creator and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe ( producer of the shows Pop Idol and American Idol and creator the  competition Superstars of Dance), with permanent judges being Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo.  At the beginning of this season their were 20 dancers.  And it finish weeks later with the top 2.  I decided to interview the top winners, who were Gaby Diaz (the winner) and Jaja Vaňková (the runner up).


Gaby
1.  How long have you been dancing?
I've been dancing since I was 3 years old.

2.  What got you into dancing?
My sister took dance classes and I went to watch all of them until I was old enough to start taking class.

3.  What has dance taught you?
Dance has taught me how to be disciplined & serious about my work.

4.  What dancer(s) inspire you?
Misty Copeland is a huge inspiration to me, as well as all my dance teachers I had growing up.

4.  Before So You Think You Can Dance what videos or Television programs have you appeared in?
I did some work on Univision, a Spanish television network.

5.  Have you done any dance troops or supported anyone on a tour (band/performer)?
I have never danced on tour until the SYTYCD tour.

6.  What is your next step in your professional dance life?
I will be joining Jennifer Lopez's residency in Las Vegas and then hopefully moving to LA to work as a freelance dancer.

7.  Why do you love to dance?
It allows me to release whatever I may be feeling and express myself without having to put it into words.

8.  What was the best routine you ever performed?
My favorite routine I performed was my contemporary duet with Robert Roldan, choreographed by Mandy Moore.

9.  What was the worst routine you ever perform?
I enjoyed all my performances, but I do feel that the nerves I had my first couple weeks on the show affected my performance and I sometimes look back and wish I would have just had fun with them.

10. What is the hardest thing about dance?
The most difficult thing for me right now is taking care of my body.

11. What kind of emotions do you feel/give off 
I try to pull from experiences I've been through or someone I know has been through so I can deliver a raw performance and not feel like I'm acting.

12. What was your most embarrassing dance moment?
Anytime I fall in front of one of the choreographers is pretty embarrassing.

13. Do you hope to inspire others to dance too?
I hope I inspire others to take tap class!

14. What are some of your goals for dance?
I want to work in all areas of entertainment and eventually work on projects that incorporate various art forms.

15. What style(s) of dance do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy doing all styles of dance.

16. How do you feel when you perform?
I feel liberated when I perform.

17. Have you ever used you talents for the good of the community?
I've performed in free performances to raise money for my community.

18. What keeps you from not quitting dance, in other words: what inspires you to keep on dancing?
There's always new movement to explore and new ways of expressing myself.

19. What is your favorite part about dancing? 
I love getting to explore movement with dancers who specialize in different styles.

13 years 

2.  What got you into dancing?
My sister used to be a dancer and she was the one who taught me first.

3.  What has dance taught you?
Dance taught the importance of hard work, dedication and creativity. 

4.  What dancer(s) inspire you?
I dont have certain dancers that would inspire me, my life inspires me to dance, the surroundings, my emotions, my relationship and friendships.

Step Up All In movie as a Robot Girl, America's Best Dance Crew season 6 winner, Wild For The Night and Teen Beach 2 movies, Nickelodeon, Hell's Kitchen, Disney's Austin and Ally, Liv and Maddie, Shake It Up, Halo Awards, Ceremonial show of Olympic Games, music videos of Skrillex, Far East Movement, commericals for Nike, Puma, Aqua, semifinalist of Czech Got Talent

5.  Have you done any dance troops or supported anyone on a tour (band/performer)?
I'm member of IaMmE crew, we've done tours together around the world. 

6.  What is your next step in your professional dance life?
Continue teaching, educating, choreographing and working on my projects, battling, organizing events, performing and working with charities. 

7.  Why do you love to dance?
It gives me the freedom of express my emotions whenever it's happiness, sadness, madness, anger, passion etc. 

8.  What was the best routine you ever performed?
I think S&M by Rihanna routine with IaMmE crew.

9.  What was the worst routine you ever perform?
I think my very first battle was very bad. 

10. What is the hardest thing about dance?
Dance is natural for me, i couldn't say what is hard. 

11. What kind of emotions do you feel/give off 
It depends on my situation in life, when i dance i give out emotions and feelings that i'm going thru. 

12. What was your most embarrassing dance moment?
One time my shirt came off, fortunately i had a bra on, but i didn't realize that and i continue dancing, people were screaming and laughing during my performance, i didnt know what was going on until i got off of the stage.

13. Do you hope to inspire others to dance too?
Yes i dance to inspire others.

14. What are some of your goals for dance?
I would like to be remembered in the history of street dance one day when i will be old, always getting better, and still teach and be able to inspire when i will be 50 yeas old. 

15. What style(s) of dance do you enjoy doing?
Animation, robot, krump, popping, hip hop

16. How do you feel when you perform?
Dance releases very happy feeling in my body. 

17. Have you ever used you talents for the good of the community?
Yes ive done many charity events and workshops before. 

18. What keeps you from not quitting dance, in other words: what inspires you to keep on dancing?
Dance is something i love the most and it is my priority in every day life, i know it's the one thing that makes me happy and who wouldn't want a job that they love.

19. What is your favorite part about dancing? 
Seeing progress in myself is one of my favorite parts.
