Wizard World 2013 Chicago Comc Con

Wizard World Comic Con Chicago is now over. The convention brought thousands of comic book, sci-fi, trekkers, gamers and other fans out for four days to Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont from August 8-11, 2013. Throughout the years fans dress up as their favorite super heroes (and heroines), Star Wars icons, including the popular Storm-troopers, if you count up them up you probably had a whole platoon. Many came to meet the former top dog of Marvel Comics Stan Lee, or the Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, both are Comic Book icons that have been doing the Comic Con circuit for a number of years. In 2013, no one is disappointed with the line-up of comic book and celebrity stars.

Wizard World over the years has become a huge brand and the Chicago Comic Con one of their largets. To find out where you can hit the next Wizard World head to http://www.wizardworld.com/wizcon.html.

Wizard World brings us comic book, wrestling, and other celebrity stars for one of the largest autograph signing events. In addition to all the celebrity signings, many hit the Artist Alley to meet the greats behind the comics such as the artist and writers. This is where you can get an original drawing by the artist themselves while you wait.

The main convention ballroom showcased everything in memorabilia that is for sale. You can find comic books, magazine, jewelry, costumes, toys, autographed photos, and even computer virus scanning software. The world of comic book geek is in high tech today, I suppose that is why Symantic showcased a tour ending with a photo of you with Superman. As everyone today, comic book fans are all high tech utilizing computers and mobile apps to access their comic books online. So security is a major importance in this day and age of geekdom.

I certainly enjoyed myself and had the opportunity to meet a few celebrities I knew. But you have to be prepared to pay the price. This is not a cheap event. To get an autograph or photo of your favorite celebrity super hero you were paying quite a price. If you were there for the vendors you probably got a pretty decent deal on many items, I even saw boxes of comic books for 25 cents, oh yes, a quarter. Till next year, Comic Book Super Heroes Rule and everyone who hits the comic con circuit. BTW… Batman is the ultimate Superhero.
