14th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge with Jimmy Fallon

The Chicago Polar Plunge is an annual event that benefits the Special Olympics of Chicago. Thousands turned out to the 14th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge 2014 today at North Avenue Beach. The Polar Plunge brought quite a few more people to the event than usual we were told, or just a few more media professionals because of the guest dipper, Jimmy Fallon. NBC late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon took up Mayor Rahm Emanuel's dare to jump into Lake Michigan. Although we did not get any shots, you can check out the news, the internet and I am sure Monday night's airing of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on NBC 5 in Chicago.

UnRated Magazine did catch celebrity Polar Plungers at the press hearing minutes before the jump took place.  Jimmy Fallon and Rahm Emanuel were joined by NFL player Israel Idonije, and other Chicago notable folks. Anything for a great cause, although we did not jump, we did endure some of the freezing weather.
