Miss Illinois Latina Organization, Silver Beauty LLC - is proud to promote the idea of community service, education and heritage for young Latina women living in the United States utilizing a non-traditional pageant platform. The road to Miss Illinois Latina 2016 has been a regarding challenge and life-time experience for our 22 candidates. This year the participants can expect to be judged heavily in three main categories; they are the traditional cultural wear, swim suite, and evening gown. They will also undergo a series of preliminary interview questions that will directly impact their scores. In addition to the typical awards distributed, this year we have incorporated the people’s choice award. The award will be presented to the young lady with the most votes received on the Miss Illinois Latina website. Voting begins Wednesday, October 28th.
General is $25 admission and tickets are available online. The event is open to the public. We encourage everyone to go to www.missillinoislatina.com to purchase and print their tickets. Tickets for the event will be available at the door. If anyone is interested in attending the preliminaries on Friday, October 30th at the Drake Hotel, Oak Brook – please purchase a special ticket online. The cost of the ticket includes hors d’oeuvres and beverage ticket for $40.
The road to Miss Illinois Latina 2016 is underway and the participants have shared with the team that they are ecstatic to compete for a title that will catapult them to the spotlight. This honor is one that is carried for an entire year. The title holder will go on to receive additional coaching in public relations, communication, health and beauty. All to prepare her to represent Illinois in the National Competition. If she advances in the National Competition, she will go on to compete in the Miss America Del Mundo pageant. A current title held by the Miss Texas Latina of 2015.
