The Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival

The Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival
Story and Photos by Dan Locke

Labor Day weekend is a fun weekend.  This weekend in Chicago, you have allot to do. There was Jazzfest, Last Flint in Naperville, outdoor BBQ, go to the beach, go boating and the list goes on and on.  What I decided to do was to go see some comedy.  I went to the Funny or Die Present Oddball comedy and Curiosity Festival in Tinley Park, IL at The First Midwest Band Amphitheatre.  This is a yearly traveling comedy fest which tours the United States during the summer.

It started in Tampa FL on August 8 and goes on until September 21 in Austin TX.  In Chicago it was a fine mix between local comedians and national comedians.  The show door opens up at 5pm with the second stage starting with the local comedians.  At 7pm the real entertainment began.  I could tell you all of the jokes but that would not be fair.  So I am just going to give you highlights.
